The first editor built with KittyCAD

Public Alpha

But not the last. KittyCAD Modeling App (KCMA) is a hardware design interface built on the KittyCAD Geometry Engine and Design API. It is open-source, so you can contribute to it or use it as a starting point for your own hardware design tool. It is currently in public alpha, but we are working hard to make it a fully-featured CAD tool.

Visual and code editing, together

Every action you perform in KCMA’s interface is represented as code. The code is what generates your model, so you can read it and know exactly how your model is constructed. You can work in your normal flow, or edit code in tandem with point-and-click to unlock superpowers like reusable functions, loops, and more.

Professional-grade performance

KittyCAD Modeling App streams video from the KittyCAD engine running in remote GPUs. It loads faster than your local machine, especially with large complex models. Get professional-grade modeling and low- latency computation without a massive workstation.

Hey developers, fork this

We built KittyCAD Modeling App to show the world that it’s easy to create revolutionary experiences when you build on top of the KittyCAD engine. We know you can go even further to create apps that hardware engineers need every day. Check out the project to learn more, or join us on Discord to talk about what you want to build.
