About The Role

We are looking for a driven and strategic Head of Sales to join the Zoo team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and leading a best-in-class sales process and achieving growth targets for the company. We believe in a world full of modern software tools for hardware design, that are code-first, API-first, and allow anyone to develop solutions on top of our infrastructure. You will be responsible for proactively pushing deals forward and positioning Zoo's solutions that align with customer objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in tech sales and prior experience scaling sales processes. You will be expected to have significant knowledge of the hardware design ecosystem, software development and a deep understanding of how customers can best utilize Zoo.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Zoo’s end-to-end sales process from developing, managing, closing, onboarding, and supporting customers and their success with our products
  • Build a solid operating cadence around pipeline, forecasting, deal review, sales execution, and customer onboarding
  • Provide guidance and best practices to apply Zoo products and technologies to achieve customers' business goals
  • Build highly interactive and engaging customer demonstrations in order to educate customers and share best practices on integration throughout sales cycle
  • Partner with the Zoo team to translate prospect feedback into meaningful product insights
  • Lead, coach and mentor our growing team of Solution Engineers 

What You’ll Need

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Prior sales leadership experience building and scaling a high performance sales teams 
  • Experience selling to small and large customers who are developing hardware or software for hardware, with a proven ability to gain a deep understanding of their requirements and processes in order to drive sales
  • Professional experience working closely with cross-functional hardware design projects 
  • A metrics driven approach to sales 
  • Strong ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to be scrappy and roll up your sleeves to ensure success
  • Ability to thrive in a startup environment with a high degree of autonomy 
  • Familiarity with CAD

Nice to Have

  • Experience with C++, Python and/or Rust
  • Familiarity with Git
  • Experience working with open-source projects and collaborating with open-source communities
